This HND Fashion Technology course will help you build a wide range of technical and practical skills in garment design and manufacture, with options for womenswear or menswear.
The key elements of the course include pattern drafting, industrial sewing, fabric handling techniques, garment manufacture and CAD pattern skills, as well as practical workshops and industry-led fashion design projects. You will produce a range of garments and explore couture finishes vital for the bridal and evening wear unit.

2 Highers or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6, or experience in the fashion/textile industry. Successful applicants may be asked to participate in our 10-day Fast Track Fashion course in Fashion Technology.
You could be one of ten students who each year successfully complete this unique fashion technology course and directly enter year three of BSc Fashion Technology Pathway at Heriot-Watt University.
2nd or 3rd year entry to a relevant degree programme at another university.
