Kirkwall
This course offers a taster of units specially selected to expand students' knowledge and creative approaches to art and design practice. You will gain experience working with materials and techniques, develop your drawing and making skills and be supported to build a portfolio of work.
All units are practical and studio based with a contextual study element. Individual, group and flexible learning is encouraged through class dialogue in a supportive environment. Problem solving and original thinking are embedded core skills.
The course can be used a stepping stone to a new occupation/ hobby or for further specialist study. It will open up new possibilities for your creative practice.
2 subjects at National 5, Art and Design and English preferred.
You can continue on the NC Art & Design on a part or full time basis.
