This course offers you an ideal first step into the Interior Design Industry, providing you with the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills required to begin your career journey.

You'll learn the knowledge and skills necessary to work on projects - from initial conceptual ideas to a fully functional interior design scheme you could present to a commercial client.

You'll study:

Freehand sketching and rendering in both traditional and digital methods; The latest industry standard AutoCAD software; Production of fully rendered visuals; Production of sketch and finished scale 3D models; Presentation techniques to sell your designs to clients; The foundation of professional practices, including time management, organisational skills and problem-solving.

Entry Requirements

National 5 English and Art and Design, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. You’ll be asked to provide examples of your art and design work.
