The Introduction to Jewellery course will teach you a range of skills in jewellery design. You will be encouraged to develop your own creative ideas and will be taught how to translate these ideas into finished, 3D pieces of work. The course will cover basic areas such as developmental drawing, body adornment, using non-precious materials and design work. There is a strong ethos of ethical making and sustainability, which will be embedded into your learning. The body of work produced at the end of the course should give you a good range for your portfolio to apply for either HND Jewellery or HNC Applied Arts.
