This course is delivered by a team of established and practising artists and designers who will provide one-to-one support guiding you as you develop your portfolio. In each project, you will work on source drawing and the development of ideas and solutions. It covers a range of Art disciplines within fine art and design including drawing, painting, two-dimensional design, three-dimensional design, illustrative sculpture, print making techniques and observational drawing.

This course is designed to further your skills and allow you to find the subject which best suits your interests and ambitions, allowing you to progress on to specialist subject areas within the Art and Design department.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5, preferably English and Art and Design. Interview and portfolio.

Progression Routes

Successful learners may progress onto HNC/HND Art and Design level courses.
