In the Visual Creative Arts department, you will be encouraged to develop your own ideas and style, to look at creatives and work that inspires you and to create work that you are passionate about.

You will gain skills in the following:

Drawing Skills and Techniques, Traditional and Contemporary Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Printmaking, Illustration and Graphic Design, Exhibition Experience.

You will produce a personal portfolio of multiple experimental sketchbooks and final artworks that will help you advance to the next step in your creative industries career. You will learn to use a wide variety of traditional and digital materials and technologies with access to specialist studio equipment. You will try out new techniques, all of which will give you the skills needed to gain entry to an Advanced Art and Design Course as well as options relating to other creative industry courses.

National 4 English and Art and Design or Graphic Communication. Portfolio of work. Interview.
