This hands-on course is aimed at creative individuals who are interested in textile design for the fashion and interiors industries. Learners will develop creative thinking, making and design skills through research, sketchbook and practical work.

Studies will include learning about pattern cutting and construction to produce a fashion garment, screen-printing, digital imaging, stitched textiles, fashion and interior trends, developmental and figure drawing. Individuals will learn about job roles within industry and produce a strong portfolio for university or professional progression. The course also offers live projects, links to local companies, fashion show and exhibition opportunities.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher, preferably English or Art and Design, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. A portfolio of your work should be shown at interview.
