In this challenging course, you will take part in an exciting and comprehensive programme of design and specialist craft studies. The course is project-based, and you'll be concentrating on designing, exploring and making, drawing and personal expression.

The course could provide you with a variety of work suitable for a portfolio with an emphasis on applied art techniques in Art Glass, Applied Ceramics, Jewellery, Textiles and Performance Costume.

Although you will be taught making skills on the course, it’s an advantage to have experience in working in 3D and also making skills in different media.

Entry Requirements

Higher English and Art and Design plus 2 subjects at National 4, or NQ Art and Design: Applied Arts, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview and portfolio of work required.
