Content

You will take part in an exciting and comprehensive programme of design and specialist craft studies. The course is project-based, and you will be designing, exploring and making, drawing and personal expression. There is a strong ethos of ethical making and sustainability, which will be embedded into your learning.

The course could provide you with a variety of work suitable for a portfolio with an emphasis on applied art techniques in Art Glass, Ceramics, Jewellery, Textiles and Performance Costume.

Units include:
Observational Drawing; Developmental Drawing; Mixed Media Techniques; Life Drawing; Ceramics; Art Glass; Jewellery Design; Textiles; Performance Costume; Portfolio Production.

Entry Requirements

Higher English and Art and Design plus 2 subjects at National 4, or NQ Art and Design: Applied Arts, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview and portfolio of work required.
