An advanced course which develops theoretical conceptual and practical creative competencies within the area of contemporary art practice.

Units can include: Contemporary art practice: project; Contemporary art practice: professional practice; exhibition of contemporary art form; graded unit 2; digital media: development; digital media: production; mixed media development; mixed media production; philosophical aesthetics: an introduction; community arts: visual arts workshop; and art and design: cultural identity.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers; or NC Art and Design (Portfolio). A portfolio of your work must be presented at interview.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.

Progression Routes

On completion of this course you may be able to progress to the BA (Hons) Contemporary Art and Contextualised Practice.
