This NC Architecture and Interior Design course at Fife College will give you the opportunity to work across a number of innovative design briefs across the year to develop the skills required to succeed in a career in this industry.

You will develop freehand and technical drawing skills including an introduction to computer aided design (CAD) software and photoshop. You will also develop presentation skills for the projects you produce. At the end of the course you will be able to present a varied and creative portfolio of project work to enable application to a higher level of study or employment.

You will be encouraged to explore the technical aspects of design such as architectural drafting, 3D visualisation, material specification and sustainability on this course, while also developing core skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and self-reflection.

You will study: Architectural Drafting and Perspective Drawing; Freehand Sketching; Architectural Model Making; 3D Visualisation; Material Specification; Sustainable Design Principles; Project Process; Project Presentation.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5 at B including one from English, Art and Design, Design and Manufacture or Graphic Communication; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview. Portfolio.
