This is a practical design course which aims to introduce you to the essential key skills required to begin a career in the design industry. You will be encouraged to develop imaginative and creative ideas while working on a series of design projects. You will learn how to research and source relevant information for interior design materials, finishes and products.

You will study: Architectural Drafting and Perspective Drawing; Freehand Sketching; Architectural Model Making; 3D Visualisation; Material Specification; Sustainable Design Principles; Project Process; Project Presentation.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5 at B including one from English, Art and Design, Design and Manufacture or Graphic Communication; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview. Portfolio.
