This course gives you a good foundation in capturing and editing both still and moving images. You’ll be taught by award winning photographers, working to high standards and deadlines to help prepare you for the real world.

You will: develop skills in photographing people and places, going on location for interior and exterior shots; learn to enhance and manipulate digital images, developing skills in Photoshop; look at creating content, from planning and research, through to production; develop skills in video camera operating techniques and will shoot your own video material; develop skills in sound production, producing your own audio files; look at the visual elements of web content and showcase your own work.

This course includes NPA Photography Level 5.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Entry by interview.

Progression Routes

Moving onto a Level 6 course such as Photography or Film and Broadcasting or employment.
