This course will provide you with the opportunity to understand and investigate the causes and consequences of current environmental issues such as species extinction, climate change, global warming and deforestation. You will then focus on learning about the practices that help create a sustainable future for our planet. This new course is designed to provide an introduction to the practical skills and knowledge required for a career in environmental science and conservation, with a focus on wildlife, habitat management and sustainability.

This course is run in partnership with Hamiltonhill Claypits Local Natural Reserve in Glasgow.

Future careers opportunities include Countryside Ranger, Countryside Officer, Forestry Officer, Environmental consultant, Conservation officer, Ecologist and Zoologist.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4, English, Maths and Biology or Environmental Science preferred; or Pathways to Animal Biology and Science (Level 4). Interview.
