Unlock a future in the fast-growing geospatial industry with this Geospatial Foundation Skills Programme. Learn to create maps, analyse spatial data, and use cutting-edge GIS software. Ideal for school leavers and adults returning to education, this hands-on course opens pathways to exciting careers in urban planning, environmental management, and more.

This is a new programme, funded by the UK Space Agency. It will be the first of its kind in Colleges in the UK. The aim is to provide foundation skills in understanding geospatial systems and their application in a range of industries. People who complete the course will have skills suitable for entry level positions.

Your course will include learning on:
Introduction to Geospatial Systems; Introduction to Digital Images; Image Processing for Space Data Applications; Types of Data, Data Sources, and Data Collection; Introduction to Cartography including 2D and 3D maps; Applications of Geospatial Information Systems; Data Science; Environmental Science; Software Systems.

No formal entry requirements. Interview.
