Content

This programme builds upon the HNC, which forms the first year of the HND programme. The course provides educational and training opportunities for potential and current employees in the environmental sector.

It aims to raise levels of awareness for today's environmental concerns, teach related skills and knowledge and encourage a holistic approach to modern sustainable development and land management. This is achieved not by studying environmental issues alone, but by looking at them in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals and competing governmental priorities.

You will gain a solid understanding of global climate systems, resource economics, freshwater environments, Environmental Management Systems, monitoring and analytical methods for environmental science, planning and development control, biology, biodiversity conservation and more.

Content includes: Biodiversity Conservation; Environmental Awareness; Global Climate Systems; Rural Land Use; Pollution Management and Resource Recover.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers in relevant subjects plus National 5 English and Maths. Or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
