Content

This course is designed to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to start a career in amenity horticulture and beyond.

The course provides ample opportunity to develop horticultural skills like soft and hard landscaping, plant production and plant identification. It also develops soft and interpersonal skills, such as leadership and establishing working relationships.

You will be actively involved in carrying out plant production and grounds maintenance, and engage in projects on campus and within the local community.

Example modules: Maintain grass surfaces; Establish propagation materials; Establish crops or plants; Prepare and cultivate sites; Prepare and operate a tractor with attachments; Identify weeds, pests diseases and disorders.

Entry Requirements

NC Introduction to Horticulture. Relevant industry experience.
