This Scottish Wider Access program is designed for students who have an interested in study and progression in Social Work, Social studies such as Psychology, History, Sociology, Politics etc.

The unit contents within the course are designed to ensure you meet the requirements of Higher Education Institutes and the HN programs.

You will study Safeguarding and the legal aspects of protecting vulnerable groups. In our psychology units, you will look at human behaviour and the benefits of being able to understand it. Within Sociology, you will begin to develop a knowledge base on the workings of society and the fluidity of our world.

Additionally, you will study criminology units, to help build your awareness of the reasons for crime occurring and measures in place to reduce it.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements. Previous experience in the Health and Social Care sector (preferred but not essential). Interview.
