Content

This course allows learners to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of issues around animal care including: Anatomy, Nutrition, Welfare, Animal Husbandry, Health and Disease, Behaviour and First Aid as well as Ecology. Learners will also develop relevant skills in Academic Research, Communications and Statistics. The course features a large ongoing practical skills development unit.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers preferably including a science subject or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.

Progression Routes

HND Animal Care, or Year 2 entry to life science degrees at the University of Aberdeen. Entry to degree courses at other insitututions, for exmaple animal science and vet nursing - check entry requirements.
