Starting salaries for picture framers in the UK can vary greatly, but a trainee starts on around £16,000 a year. Experienced framers may expect to earn in the range of £20,000 to £24,000 a year. Specialist framers may earn up to £30,000 a year. Many picture framers run their own business. They charge a fee, which varies depending on the item framed. It is not always easy to make a good income.
