UHI Perth is an academic partner within the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), offering higher and further education in Scotland.
As well as vocational and professional qualifications, the college offers courses from essential skills to postgraduate degrees, across a varied range of interesting subjects. Currently, just under 7,000 students’ study either full-time, part-time or online.
Courses and subjects
Subjects are taught in the following subject areas: Childcare, Health and Social Care, Hairdressing, Beauty, Humanities and Social Sciences, New Opportunities, Social and Vocational Studies, Business, Administration, Computing, Sport and Fitness, Hospitality and Food Studies, Music and Music Business, Audio and Performing Arts, Creative Industries, Science, Automotive Engineering, Engineering and Construction.
Facilities and services
To support student’s studies, a comprehensive library houses over 30,000 books, journals and multimedia items. For break times, there are two Food Courts with Costa Coffee outlets, and a Starbucks in the Student Union.
‘Your Students' Association’, campaigns for student rights, runs social events and supports clubs and societies, as well as raising students’ voices in all levels of university boards and committees.
The multimillion-pound Academy of Sport and Wellbeing (ASW) offers a friendly sport and leisure facility to students, staff and members of the community. It also provides modern training facilities for students of sport and fitness, hairdressing and beauty therapy. There is also a climbing wall, fitness classes, personal training and wellbeing sessions.
The college also provides safe, secure and comfortable accommodation in self-catering and fully furnished flats for 78 students on the campus.
