Robert Gordon University (RGU) is ‘the professional’ university whose focus is the contemporary needs of students, economies and societies.
The university campus is at Garthdee on the banks of the River Dee.
Courses and students
All programmes are designed to offer a combination of academic study and practical experience, developed through close partnerships with industry and the public sector. The majority of courses allow part time study, with an increasing number also available through distance learning.

The university delivers more than 300 courses around 16,000 students from 132 countries.
Facilities and services
All courses are taught at the Garthdee Campus which has a picturesque riverside setting. In recent years £120 million has been invested in the campus for new facilities and resources.
RGU boasts modern world class sporting facilities, which includes a centre of excellence for the region in hockey, a 25-metre swimming pool, three gyms, a climbing wall, three exercise studios and a large sports hall.
RGU Sport aims to develop and promote sporting excellence through various scholarships, which are available to promising sports men and women.
There is also modern purpose-built engineering labs and equipment; computing labs offering extensive IT support; a range of art, design and craft facilities and an interactive court to put your debating skills to practice.

RGU is the top modern university in Scotland for Social Work (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022)
The university has 7 subjects in the top ten and is ranked 3rd in the UK for Physiotherapy in the Complete University Guide 2022.
RGU was also named University of the Year by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021.
