This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills you will need for a career in the care sector. You will be well prepared for environments such as nursing homes, residential homes, resource centres for people with learning disabilities. You will consider who needs care, what provision is available and crucially, the roles and responsibilities of the care worker.

You'll study: Human Development and Behaviour; Social influences; Stress and stress management; Caring for people with dementia; Values and principles; First aid.

Entry Requirements

5 subjects at National 5 including English; or NQ Child, Health and Social Care, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
