This course combines the knowledge, theory and practice you need to work in the early years sector. It is suitable for those aiming to work within early years, and for those already employed in sector looking for a formal qualification or to upskill. The course is approved by the Scottish Social Services Council as a suitable qualification for registration as a Child Development Officer.

The units you'll cover include:
Supporting our Youngest Children 0-3; Working with Children 3-6; Leadership Starts with Me; Support for Play Learning and Development; Graded Unit; Care in Contemporary Society; Health, Wellbeing and Safeguarding.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including English; or NC Early Education and Childcare (Higher); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.

Progression Routes

Those who complete their HNC may progress to year two of BA Childhood Practice
