This course aims to equip you to work effectively in a range of care settings with a variety of service users. You will gain an understanding of the values and principles of childhood practice and learn how to integrate those values with the necessary skills and knowledge.

It will teach you to work effectively in a range of childhood practice settings with children and young people, using the skills they acquire to perform as effective workers.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including English or NQ Playwork and Childcare (Level 5). Experience in a relevant setting beneficial but not essential.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
