This Introduction to Counselling course is intended for people who are interested in a counselling role. This is an introductory unit which will introduce you to the purpose, and the basic concepts and processes of counselling, including the importance of reflective practice.

The course has been designed for individuals who have an interest in, but who have no or have limited previous knowledge and experience of studying counselling.

This unit will introduce you to the purpose, and the basic concepts and processes, of counselling, including the importance of reflective practice. As this is an SCQF level 5 introductory unit to counselling concepts and processes, it provides underpinning and basic knowledge of the subject, however, it does not, in any way, permit those who have achieved it to refer to themselves as qualified counsellors.

Attendance: Wednesdays 9.15am-12pm.
