If you want to work with children and young people, this course could be the perfect first step.

The NC Childhood Practice course will give you a broad understanding of all aspects of child development. It can open doors to a wide range of career prospects and help you choose the right pathway for you.

You will spend a day a week in a work placement in a nursery or early years class from October until June; in addition to your 3 classroom days in college. You'll get a truly hands-on learning experience, working with professionals to understand the links between theory and practice.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5 preferably including English.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
