This course will enable you to study key subjects across child, health and social care areas such as: Human Development and Behaviour, Play In Early Learning and Childcare and Healthy Eating in Care Setting. Essential Skills in Communication, IT and Numeracy are also included.

You are encouraged to participate in volunteering activities to relate theory to practice and develop your caring skills. There will also be experiential opportunities within this course.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Entry is subject to attendance at an information session and completion of a group activity and written task.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
