Routes into Care and Childhood Practice is an engaging and nurturing course, that allows students to learn more about how to work with and support children, young people and adults, understand and support their needs, and identify different job roles and opportunities in the caring sector, from birth to older adulthood.

This course has been specially designed to support you in starting your journey towards further study and employment in Childcare and Early Learning and Social Services and Care.

Topics will include:

An introduction to social services, health and care; An introduction to childcare, play and learning; Wellbeing; Equality, diversity and inclusion; and Sustainability.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements. You will attend a brief meeting where we can speak to you about your interest in this area of study and speak to you about any additional help or support we can offer you to help you succeed.

You should be enthusiastic and committed to working with others, and learning about care, health, childcare and social sciences.
