Content

Access to Early Learning and Childcare will develop the initial knowledge, skills and understanding you require to work towards a career in childcare. It will improve and enhance employability skills and develop practical skills for working with children.

Your studies will give you an introduction to skills and knowledge required to establish good practice in childcare. You'll have the opportunity to undertake national units at SCQF Level 4 over 18 weeks. With further study, it provides a good grounding for employment in childcare and related areas.

The course contains a mix of theoretical and practical units which will support developing knowledge and skills.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English. You may be required to attend an interview.

Progression Routes

If you successfully complete this course, you are guaranteed an interview for progression onto a Level 5 Care course in your preferred vocational area at Glasgow Clyde College.
