This course will give you an introduction to the skills and knowledge required to establish good practice in childcare. You'll have the opportunity to undertake national units at SCQF Level 5 over 18 weeks. With further study, this course provides a good grounding for employment in childcare and related areas.

Access to Early Learning and Childcare contains a mix of theoretical and practical units which will support developing knowledge and skills.?Some of the subjects you will study may include:??

Child development; Play in early learning and childcare; Contemporary families; Working with others.

Please note that this course does not include a practical training placement.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English. You may be required to attend an interview.
