This comprehensive course provides the theory and practical experience of working with children in an early years setting. Students who successfully complete this NQ course can register with the Scottish Social Services Council as a Support Worker in the Day Care of Children Service.

This course is suitable for those who are looking work with children in a variety of settings. It also offers progression to the HNC Childhood Practice.

Former students have gained employment as support workers in schools, after school clubs and private nurseries, or moved on to further study.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including an English based subject. Interview.
