Working with people in a variety of care settings is a rewarding career choice. This programme provides a focus on developing the care values needed to support people in their own home and in day or residential care settings.

Contents Include:
Social Influences; Values and Principles; Human Development; Introduction to Counselling; Sociology
Psychology; Mental Health Issues; Introduction to Social Services; Crime; Communication; Information and Communication technology; Numeracy.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English, or Passport to Learning, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.

Pathways to Social Care or Pathways to Nursing and Allied Health Professionals (Level 6)
