Subjects Include:
Play in Early Education and Childcare; Developing an Understanding of Working with Children; Childhood Development and Developmental Theory; Supporting Children’s Rights and Entitlements; Supporting Children’s Behaviour; Services for Children and Young People; Workplace units; Numeracy; Communication.

Candidates who successfully achieve this course will be awarded the SQA NC Certificate in Early Education and Childcare at SCQF Level 6.

Entry Requirements

Subjects at National 5 inluding English, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview. You should have some experience of working with children.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
