Year One: Introduction to education studies in the 21st century; Developing academic literacies for learning; Introduction to Psychology 1; Learning through the lifespan; Sustainable human behaviour; The socialogical imagination; Complete a 5-day community based education experience.
Year Two: Creativity, culture and learning in the 21st century; Early childhood development and learning in context; Education, reace and ethnicity; Society and sustainable lifestyles; Engaged sociology; Developmental and social psychology.
Year Three: Inclusive practice: difference and diversity; Research methods; Global health and international education; Comunity education and the organic intellectual; Class, poverty and social exclusion; Social psychology and social justice OR developental psychology.
Year Four: Peer relations in childhood and adolescence; Planning places for outdoor learning; Inequality, poverty, and social policy in comparative perspective; Community based education; Dissertation.
2026 entry requirements:
4 Highers at BBCC (standard entry) or BCCC (widening access entry) plus English and preferably National 5 Maths or Applications of Maths.
