This course can help you gain employment in a number of fields including Residential Childcare, Older Adult Care or working with Adults and Children with disabilities.
The course includes:
Care in Contemporary Society; Health, Wellbeing and Safeguarding; Lifespan Development: Theoretical Approaches; Leadership Starts with Me; Also includes the Graded Unit.
Placement:
You will be given the opportunity 2 days a week in a placement, agreed by the college staff, to expand your practical experience, developing knowledge and skills, and clearly identifying how you put these into practice.
2 Highers including English; or Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services and Healthcare. Or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Relevant experience is preferred but not essential.
