This course is for those who are enthusiastic about working as part of a team to support the learning and development of young children.
You will undertake a range of subjects which will help you to understand how children develop and the impact that this has on their learning.
Study will include Child Development: Theory and Services for Children and Young People.
You will be required to attend a minimum of 30 days work placement.
4 subjects at National 5 at A or B including English; or Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services (Children and Young People). Participation at an information session, skills assessment and interview forms part of the selection criteria.
You would require a satisfactory PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) check to show you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details.
