The NQ Social Care (Level 4) course offers a supportive introduction to the knowledge and values needed for a future career in Health, Social Care, or Childcare. It’s designed for learners who are new to the field and want to build confidence, skills, and understanding before progressing to higher-level study.
You’ll explore the principles of care, how people develop and behave, and the social influences that affect wellbeing. You’ll also gain practical insight into caring for others and learn key workplace skills through the National 4 Skills for Work in Health Award.
Course topics include:
Human Development and Behaviour; Social Influences; Values and Principles; Child development; First Aid; National 4 Skills for work in health award; Core Skills such as Communications and Numeracy.
