This course offers the knowledge and understanding you will need if you want a career in Early Learning and Childcare or the Care sector. You will learn to develop your meta-skills like collaboration and adaptability, boosting your confidence, strengthening your digital skills, and supporting the development of your teamwork abilities.
Content includes:
How to care for and support the feeding of children under 5; The range of settings available in the Early Learning and Childcare sector; You will be introduced to the importance of children's rights; Developing your own confidence and skills through project-based learning and volunteering; Learning the theory behind why play is so important to young children's learning.
5 relevant subjects at National 4 including English; or Access to Early Learning and Childcare (Level 4) (Fast Track); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Entry subject to interview.
