This course will enable you to study a range of subjects such as Play in Early Learning & Childcare, Care & Feeding of Children & Young People, Development & Wellbeing of Children & Young People and Supporting Children with Additional Support Needs.

Essential skills in Numeracy, Communication and IT are also included. This will include a mixture of indoor and outdoor learning (both face-to-face and remote delivery).

You are encouraged to participate in volunteering activities to relate theory to practice and develop your caring skills.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Entry is subject to interview, one satisfactory reference and completion of a short values task.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
