This course is suitable for those looking for a first-level qualification in childhood practice. It allows you to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) at support worker level.

The course includes:

Child development; Child development theory; Supporting the curriculum; Services for children and young people; Practical units including play, placement and outdoor learning.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including English. Entry is by interview, at which a written piece of work will be requested.
