This course gives students basic knowledge and skills for moving on to level 6 study and/or an apprenticeship in the early learning and childcare sector.

You will gain an understanding of subjects including Child Development, Outdoor learning, Play. You will get the opportunity for a practical placement.

You also have the chance to gain the Skills for Work early learning and childcare award.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English. Entry is by interview and a short written task.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
