The HNC Childhood Practice (Practitioner Focus) is for applicants interested in a career in the early education, childcare or playwork sectors or for those wishing to pursue further study within Childhood Practice or Childhood Studies. Through studying this course you will gain the skills and knowledge to work effectively with children in a variety of care settings, learning how to apply the core values of social care to support their development and wellbeing.

This course will equip you with everything you need to confidently support children and families, combining practical experience with the essential theory behind great childcare practice.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including English, or Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services and Healthcare or Social Services (Children and Young People), or NC Early Education and Childcare (Level 6) or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
