Working with children in early learning settings can provide a rewarding career choice. This course provides the learner with an introduction to working within the Early Learning and Childcare sector. Whilst studying the basics of Early Learning and Childcare, the learner will explore the job opportunities available and develop and prepare skills required for work within the Early Learning and Childcare sector. The course will also give you an insight into how children learn and develop.

Child Development; Play in Early Education and Childcare; Working in Early Education and Childcare; Care of Children; Maintenance of a Safe Environment; Contemporary Families; Children's development and learning; Communication.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 4 including English or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Entry subject to interview.
