Content

This course provides students with a good base knowledge of the early education and childcare sectors. It provides an opportunity for students to develop their soft skills and interpersonal skills in a childcare context, whilst providing the opportunity to investigate a range of job roles and career opportunities.

On this course you will cover a range of important topics relating to child care including child development, health and safety, preparing for parenthood, volunteering and accident and emergency procedures. You will also develop important skills in literacy, numeracy and IT.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 preferably including English; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. A genuine interest in working with people is very important for all applicants.
