This course allows you to improve your career prospects by studying at a more advanced level and to progress to SCQF level 9 courses. Level 9 is required by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for managers in the sector.

The course includes:

Pedagogical approaches; Team-working and leadership; Integrated working and collaborative practice
Two SVQ level 4 units.

Entry Requirements

HNC Childhood Practice or other relevant national qualification worth (120 SCQF credits). Interview and written task. Experience in a childcare setting.

Progression Routes

Possible progression to third year BA Childhood Practice degree or SQA Level 9 Award. Or employment in childhood practice role.
