This Biomedical Science degree offers an exciting, fast-paced learning experience. You'll explore the biological processes that occur in the human body, identifying diseases and how our body responds to them. Practical work and training in our £3.5m science labs feature throughout.

Professional Biomedical Scientists have a deep understanding of the science behind human health and disease. This essential scientific analysis plays a huge role in clinical outcomes and the recovery of patients.

After a two-year foundation, you'll take either the Standard or Applied route. The Applied route includes an 18-week work placement, crucial if you want to work in the NHS. Whatever you choose, your skills and qualifications will be recognised worldwide.

Standard entry: 4 Highers at BBBC including Biology or Human Biology plus English, Maths and Chemistry at National 5. Applications of Maths is accepted at B.

Widening access entry: 3 Highers at BBC including Biology or Human Biology plus English, Maths and Chemistry at National 5. Applications of Maths is accepted at B

Entry to year 2 is available with 3 Highers at BBB including Biology and Chemistry.
