Our Bachelor of Education (Music) Open day will take place on Monday 18th May 2026. This in-person event will focus on our classroom music education degree programme, showcasing the department and what we offer at the RCS.
Registration opens at 9.15am, with the first session starting at approx. 10am. Audience participation may be required within the morning sessions. We are looking to finish at around 3pm after our open rehearsal session, though please feel free to leave earlier if required.
We are a small institution, with limited space available within our performance venues. While we do everything we can to accommodate all our guests, you as a prospective student will have priority at the event. In light of this, we ask that, where possible, you only bring one guest with you on the day. If we can't accommodate your guest at our programmed sessions, there will be other activities they can attend during these times.
Because of number limits, your attendance to the event is only confirmed once you receive an email from the student recruitment team. Please do not book accommodation or travel before receiving this confirmation, as we don't want you to be disappointed. We will do our best to get responses out asap, as we understand costings can creep up quickly, but please note, responses will only be sent between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Places are given on a first come, first serve basis. Please be aware our emails can sometimes end up in your junk / clutter folders, please check there first prior to contacting us.
Due to the popularity of this in-person event, once we have reached capacity, we will be operating a waiting list and should you fall out with our limits, you will be emailed to inform you of this. If spaces become available, we will be in touch accordingly.
