Kirkwall, Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
Certificate in Accounting introduces a broad range of core accounting skills. Students will develop skills in double-entry bookkeeping and basic costings; as well as an understanding of purchase, sales and general ledgers. They will also gain an understanding of accounting software and develop professional skills and behaviours needed for the workplace.
The qualification comprises four mandatory units:
Introduction to Bookkeeping; Principles of Bookkeeping Controls; Principle of Costing; The Business Environment.
No formal entry requirements.
