Prepare for a career in accounting or further study. This course will help you enhance your existing knowledge and develop a skill set that meets the standards required by employers, while also providing progression opportunities at university.

You’ll gain a solid foundation in the concepts and processes used in financial and management accounting, as well as other essential and academic skills required in the professional workplace.

You will study:
Recording financial information; Preparing and interpreting final accounts; Cost and management accounting; Business law; Maths and business communication; Statistics in business; Financial reporting and analysis; Income tax and management accountancy.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers, preferably including English plus Maths or Applications of Maths at National 5, or Foundation Apprenticeship Accountancy or Business Skills, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.

Progression Routes

Direct entry to year 2 or 3 of relevant degree course. This course is part of our Degree Link programme, meaning that on successful completion of the course you could progress to a related degree at Robert Gordon University.
