Content

This course will give you a good understanding of the computer games industry and the skills you’ll need to be a game developer.

Content includes:

Explore various 'media assets' crucial for game development; Learn game planning, design, and the hardware and technology behind gaming; Look into audio: mastering the capture, editing, and manipulation of audio files; Develop programming skills: vital for the gaming industry; and, Work on a software development project: creating your own computer game or level.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including Maths or Computing Science; or NC Computing (Level 5); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview.

Progression Routes

Progression on to a relevant HNC course or employment.
