This programme will develop your skills, confidence and awareness of Mechanical Engineering and is a great opportunity to progress from a modern apprenticeship, level 6 course, Foundation Apprenticeship or for adult learners who wish to enhance their knowledge of the subject area or are looking for progresion in their current industry. This course will also develop your study skills as a learner.

This course will give you a technical grounding in Engineering Principles, Material Selection, Statics and Strength of Materials, Dynamics, Thermofluids, Pneumatics and Hydraulics, CNC, CAD for Engineers, Programmable Logic Controls and more.

The course is nationally recognised as the qualification needed by technicians working within the Mechanical sector.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including Maths or Physics, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
