This course is highly practical, with industry based, expert teaching staff providing you with the necessary training to develop the skills and versatility needed to meet the vocal, physical and artistic demands placed upon a multi-faceted, modern working performer.

The HNC Musical Theatre course focuses primarily on the practical and theoretical skills of a modern performer through classes and workshops, which include acting, voice, singing, production, jazz, ballet, contemporary, musical theatre repertoire, movement, singing skills. Students will also have the opportunity to take part in industry-led workshops and classes, as part of their training, to gain knowledge and experience of current trends in the profession. All the lecturers on the acting courses are highly trained, with years of industry experience. New College Lanarkshire students on the HNC Musical Theatre course also have the opportunity to perform in public productions throughout the academic year including a professional pantomime.

Entry Requirements

Higher English, Drama or Music is preferred. Previous performance experience is preferred. Entry by audition only.
